Celtic boss Ange Postecoglou has looked to put the VAR debate behind him ahead of facing Kilmarnock after the fallout from the clash with Rangers.
The use of technology in the Scottish Premiership has been the main talking point coming out of the 2-2 draw with Rangers in on Monday, after John Beaton and Willie Collum failed to award them a penalty for handball against Connor Goldson. Man in the middle Beaton did not give the decision on the pitch, and Collum opted not to send the whistler to the monitor after checking the incident in the VAR room.
During his pre-match press conference, Postecoglou was put on the spot about the decision and insisted the spot kick should have been awarded and in a heated rant credited Connor Goldson with one of the two saves in the match. However, when quizzed on the use of VAR on BBC Sportsound he appeared to be done with the topic.
When asked how he would fix VAR, the Celtic boss responded: "I said that yesterday. I've had my say on it. It's not up to me to fix it so we focus on the game today and again if we play well and we play our football then we don't have to worry about those things."
We was asked again if there was anything he would like to see happen to improve the standard of officiating in Scotland going forward, clapping back. "I don't know how often I have to make this point, it's not my role. I don't have the expertise or the knowledge. Referee's and the people in charge have that.
"I manage a football team as I said, if a referee came down here and told me how to set out the team, I think you know what response they'd get and I reckon that I'd get a similar response."
