Ange Postecoglou admits Celtic 'big consequences' could arise from Rangers clash as he reflects on last Old Firm

Ange Postecoglou admits there will be "big consequences" to next weekend's clash with Rangers.

The first match back after the international break is the small matter of an Old Firm derby, with both clubs still in the hunt for the Premiership title.

Celtic are in pole position, three points ahead of Giovanni van Bronckhorst's team.

But clearly defeat at Ibrox would change that and put the rivals neck and neck with just six games to play.

"It's a great challenge for us," the 56-year-old told Celtic TV.

"I think the first game there we didn't get the result we wanted but I thought our performance wasn't too bad, it was a pretty tight game.

"There wasn't a lot of chances for either side, they took theirs.

"We had a couple we didn't take, there is no doubt it's going to be a great occasion, you want to go into these games, firstly, in good form, which we are.

"And secondly knowing there's big consequences to the outcome, It's a great position for us to be in, I know the players will be looking forward to it."
