Andy Walker predicts two Rangers changes for Celtic Scottish Cup showdown as Morelos situation branded 'a great pity'

Andy Walker anticipates Todd Cantwell and Nicolas Raskin starting for Rangers in their Hampden rematch with Celtic.

The Premiership pair have been drawn against each other in the Scottish Cup semi-final showdown just like last season, and will face either Falkirk or Inverness in the Final. It presents a major chance for Michael Beale's men to retain the silverware they won last May should they negotiate past Ange Postecoglou's men, who have eyes on a domestic Treble.

Pundit and former Scotland forward Walker was surprised that two new Ibrox signings – Cantwell and Raskin – didn't start February's 2-1 League Cup final defeat for their fresh employers. But he doesn't believe Beale will bench them again, telling Go Radio: "It will be fantastic and I will be interested to see how Rangers approach it. I was surprised by their starting XI (in the League Cup final), I thought Raskin and Cantwell would play as I thought they were the players identified in the January window to make Rangers better.

"I think they will play this time, surely, and they will have had more games under their belt. I am sure Rangers will try and play a bit more football, not be sitting back as much as they did, I thought they stood off Celtic a little."

News surrounding Morelos has caught Walker's attention. Rumours of a pre-contract with Sevilla have fuelled the fire of talk suggesting the striker will leave when his contract expires this summer.

Walker admits that despite a hit and miss season, his overall record at Rangers will be viewed favourably: "It is a great pity he is going out like this when maybe he isn't in the best condition. You look at Morelos over the last number of years, I think his numbers will be really impressive. Rangers will miss him and they need to get someone like him, who they can rely on.

"I know they have Antonio Colak at the moment. But if Morelos goes, then they need someone of a similar stature to ensure a lot of strength up front."
