Andy Walker believes Ange Postecoglou would jump at the chance to manage in the English Premier League but only with one club - Liverpool.
The former Celtic star turned Sky Sports commentator addressed the comments made by former Hoops boss John Barnes who said Postecoglou should put his name forward to become the next West Ham United manager. David Moyes is under pressure at the London Stadium with the Hammers currently in the bottom three. It was reported earlier this week that if his side loses to Everton on Saturday then he could be sacked.
Postecoglou's name has been mentioned in passing when jobs have come up in the past but no serious approach has been made for the Parkhead boss from any teams down south. Walker believes he is committed to Celtic and won't be leaving anytime soon. He told Go Radio "I think his dream job, if Ange Postecoglou was to go, I think he is a big Liverpool man but would he get the opportunity to go to Liverpool? Having said that I think he is absolutely committed at the moment to his life in Glasgow."
While, fellow pundit and former Rangers star Craig Moore added: "I don't think too many Celtic fans will be happy with John Barnes."
Earlier today Barnes told BonusCodeBets: "If Ange Postecoglou wants to manage in a high-profile league like Steven Gerrard did, then he should take the West Ham job. It's not a question of a stepping-down, but of his ambitions.
"It's easier to win the league with Celtic than it is to keep Southampton from relegation. Going to West Ham would be a step down in terms of the size of the club because Celtic is massive, but the Premier League would be a step up."
