Scotland captain Andy Robertson is out of the Nations League clashes with Ireland and Ukraine as Jurgen Klopp confirmed a spell on the sidelines for the full back.
Steve Clarke 's men will resume their bid to reach Euro 2024 through the competition with a double header against Ukraine sandwiched between the Republic of Ireland making the trip to Hampden. But Liverpool star Robertson will not be fit enough to lead the side after picking up a knock in the Champions League clash with Napoli.
Klopp stated ahead of the matchday two group stage clash with Ajax that Robertson would not be seen again for the English Premier League side until after the international break. He said: "Robbo now is not 100 per cent. He felt something very late, 93rd or whatever minute - actually he felt it the next day only."
He then offered the news the Tartan Army will not have wanted to hear. The Anfield boss said: "But yeah, he is out for at least, I would say, after the international break."
Scotland have six points from their opening three Nations League games. Defeat in Ireland means Clarke will be looking for maximum points from the three upcoming fixtures to qualify.
