Andy Robertson is set to give Liverpool a much-needed injury boost with a return to action this week.
Robertson has been absent since injuring his knee late on during the Champions League defeat at Napoli on September 7.
The 28-year-old was subsequently ruled out of the the Reds’ next four games as well as Scotland’s three UEFA Youth League games last month.
But Robertson came through a training session on Monday and is now expected to be part of the squad that travels north of the border for the Champions League clash at Rangers on Wednesday.

Liverpool will train at the AXA Training Centre on Tuesday afternoon before travelling north of the border later in the day.
Jurgen Klopp must now decide whether to throw Robertson back into the fray or keep faith in Kostas Tsimikas, who has been deputising at left-back.
The availability of Robertson is a welcome injury boost for the Liverpool boss with first-choice defenders Joel Matip and Trent Alexander-Arnold out for at least a fortnight having been forced off during Sunday’s 3-2 Premier League defeat at leaders Arsenal.
Ibrahima Konate and Joe Gomez, who came on at centre-back and right-back respectively at the Emirates, are expected to continue at Ibrox.
Luis Diaz, Arthur Melo, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain are all out, but Curtis Jones was part of the training session on Monday as he continues his recovery from a calf problem.
