Andy Reid has shepherded the Kansas City Chiefs to a 4-1 start to their 2023 campaign and earned a coveted accolade on Wednesday after being named the top skipper in FOX NFL’s head coach rankings.

Reid beat out the likes of Kyle Shanahan, Mike Tomlin, Sean McVay, and Mike McDaniel for the No. 1 spot, and even saw two of his former assistants make the list.
John Harbaugh and Doug Pederson, respectively of the Baltimore Ravens and Jacksonville Jaguars, both coached under Reid during his tenure as the Philadelphia Eagles head coach from 1999 until 2012.
Pederson played an instrumental role in Reid’s effort to rebuild the Chiefs during his early years in Kansas City, serving as the team’s offensive coordinator for three seasons between 2013 and 2015.
While recognition like this is certainly flattering for Reid, it is the results he achieves on the field that will ultimately define his legacy. He will have to defend his top spot this evening during the Chiefs’ Week 6 matchup against the Denver Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium.
