After the Chiefs captured their second Super Bowl in the last four seasons on Sunday night, coach Andy Reid took the podium to celebrate with his team.
Kansas City has consistently been one of the top teams in the league over the last five seasons, as exhibited by its three trips to the Super Bowl and multiple conference championship appearances.
With two Super Bowls to his name at the age of 64, Reid was asked by Fox’s Terry Bradshaw if he was ready to retire.
“No, oh no, I’ve got to celebrate this one,” Reid said before saluting his former team, the Eagles. “To the Eagles, they did a great job. It was a great game. But how about those Chiefs? That’s what we’re talking about!”
Reports indicated earlier in the day on Sunday that Reid was considering retirement after the Super Bowl, per Fox Sports’ Jay Glazer.
Could that decision be made easier now that Reid has captured another title and solidified himself among the coaching greats? Only time will tell, but it sounds like Reid isn’t rushing into that decision anytime soon.
