Andy Murray To Skip Surgery, No Return Timeline After Ankle Injury

Andy Murray looking happy

Andy Murray will not undergo surgery on the ankle he injured at the Miami Open last month. The 36-year-old Scot rolled his ankle in the deciding set of his match against Tomas Machac and subsequently withdrew from upcoming tournaments.

A spokesperson for Murray confirmed that he is now out of the walking boot and is progressing well with his rehabilitation. While no specific timeline has been provided for his return to competition, Murray is looking forward to resuming on-court activities soon.

Murray, a former world number one and three-time Grand Slam champion, had previously expressed his intention not to play much beyond this summer. Despite this, he aims to participate in the upcoming Olympics and had hoped to compete at the French Open, scheduled to begin on May 26.

Wimbledon, where Murray has enjoyed success as a two-time champion, is set to commence on July 1. Following that, the Paris Games will take place later in the same month.
