Andy Murray to launch live tour and stage show following tennis retirement

Andy Murray will swap his tennis racket for a microphone as he prepares to open up to the world about his illustrious career.

The former world No 1 will take to the stage for a touring UK show, which will see him share memories and anecdotes from his decades as a tennis player, following his retirement last year.

The show - cleverly titled Centre Stage - will be popping up at theatres around the country from next summer, with stops in places such as Glasgow, Edinburgh and, of course, Wimbledon.

Here is what we know about the event.

What is Andy Murray’s new show about?

On stage, Murray will open up about his biggest wins, including his double Olympic golds, three Grand Slams and his matches against some of his fellow greats, including Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic.

The summary on his website reads: “Marking a new chapter, Andy is stepping onto a new kind of stage for a different type of tour – one where he lifts the lid on his biggest moments, reflects on a unique career and provides behind-the-scenes access to the world of tennis. This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand from one of the world’s most beloved and entertaining athletes.”

Where will Andy Murray be on stage?

The tour is scheduled to take place over four nights in summer 2025 and will finish just as the UK grass tennis season begins.

The shows will take place on:

June 18 - SEC Armadillo in Glasgow

June 19 - Edinburgh’s Playhouse

June 21 - Eventim Hammersmith Apollo in London

June 29 - New Wimbledon Theatre

When do tickets go on sale?

Tickets for the June tour are going on sale on Thursday, November 14.

How can I get tickets?

They will be available to purchase on general release from Thursday on Murray’s website here.

But if you want to grab them earlier, you might be able to bag yourself a seat in the pre-sale. Murray has partnered with AEG Events to host the tour, and they’re offering fans the chance to be able to buy tickets earlier by subscribing to the AEG Presents newsletter here.

The presale will go live at 10am on Wednesday November 13 and will run until Thursday November 14, when the general sale opens.

You must sign up to the newsletter by 9.59pm on Tuesday November 12 to qualify for the pre-sale.
