Talk about going out on a high. Andy Moran showed his class one last time before hanging up his boots by scoring 3-3 for Ballaghaderreen in a relegation semi-final.
His vintage display preserved their status as a senior club and duly led to a wonderful show of respect by everyone associated with the club as they gave him a guard of honour as he made his way off the pitch.
This wasn't any hat-trick of penalties either. The 2017 Footballer of the Year had to demonstrate that he still has plenty of the sharpness and agility that tormented inter-county defenders for 15 years.

His final goal in particular showcased the clever movement he's most famous for as well as no shortage of pace despite his 38 years.
And then the finish was emphatic as they ran out easy winners over Davitts by 6-8 to 2-8.
Moran also chipped in with three pointed frees, including one from way out the field.
Clearly, he's still well able to cut it at senior level but between running a gym and his commitments as Leitrim manager, it's understandable he's decided to call time on his own playing days.
He did win two county titles with his club in 2008 and 2012 to go with eight Connacht medals and a national league with The Green and Red.
Of course, he had to ensure more than his fair share of bitter disappointment as Mayo sides he was involved with came up short on All-Ireland final day on six occasions.
And in one of those years, he missed the latter stages of the 2012 campaign having been struck down by a cruciate injury.
But like that the rest of that great Mayo team, he was never one to give up and managed to overcome the doubters by coming back an even better player over the autumn and winter of his career.
