Andy Lee believes Joseph Parker can make it "an easy fight" against Joe Joyce

Joseph Parker’s trainer Andy Lee has goaded Joe Joyce by claiming his man can make it “an easy fight” tomorrow night.

The rivals clash for the interim WBO heavyweight title at Manchester’s AO Arena. And Lee claims the Kiwi Parker can win comfortably because they are “leagues apart”.

Lee, who helps train his cousin Tyson Fury, feels former WBO champ Parker, 30, is on another level to Joyce and delivered his putdown at yesterday’s final press conference at Manchester’s Hilton Hotel.

“Any fight can be made an easy fight depending on what style you use and what tactics you use,” said the former WBO middleweight champ.

“Joseph Parker knows what he has to do to make this an easy fight.

“I’m not going to say how he’s going to do that, but he knows and I know.

“I mean no disrespect to Joe Joyce and what he’s done so far in his career, but he’s not fought anyone like Joseph Parker yet.

“Joseph has all the skill, the talent, the patience and the determination to win this fight easy.”

But Joyce, who was 37 on Monday and is the WBO’s No.1 contender for Oleksandr Usyk’s crown, aimed his own dig when he claimed Parker must be mentally weak because he uses a sports psychologist.

“Maybe there’s some weakness in his mental capacities he needs to work on,” he added.
