St Johnstone have snapped up freed Aberdeen stalwart Andy Considine on a two-year deal.
The veteran defender bid farewell to Pittodrie after 18 years and 571 appearances at the end of the season.
Now Considine is set to take up position in the heart of the Saintees backline as the Perth club look to rebuild after a season that saw them only avoid relegation through the play-offs.
Drey Wright has also return to McDiarmid Park from Hibs on a two-year deal - two years after making the journey in the opposite direction to Leith.
Considine, 35, had been offered a new one-year contract by Aberdeen but that was taken off the table after he knocked it back and details became public.
The Dons released a statement in which Jim Goodwin angrily shot down suggestions of a "derisory offer".
Considine had been offered the chance to start up in Australia with Central Coast Mariners.
But Callum Davidson has stepped in to keep the Scotland international in the Premiership with St Johnstone.
Considine made his debut for the Dons in 2004 and won the League Cup under Derek McInnes a decade later.
He sits fourth on the Dons' all-time appearance record list behind Willie Miller, Alex McLeish and Bobby Clark. The last of his appearances came in the final game of the season where he bid an emotional farewell to the support in a 0-0 draw with St Mirren.
Considine’s arrival raises further doubts over Jamie McCart’s future in Perth.
The 24-year-old is out of contract and has yet to agree a new deal which is on the table.
