Andrew Tate is remaining coy on a fight with Jake Paul but has hinted that "sophisticated" negotiations are taking place.
Controversial former kickboxer Tate has shot to fame in recent years on social media, and has called out YouTube star Paul for a boxing fight on multiple occasions. Paul has fought five times as a professional and was set to do battle with Hasim Rahman Jr last weekend at Madison Square Garden but the fight was cancelled.
Reports claimed Paul was now targeting a fight with Tate after previously denying he even knew who the star was. Tate has appeared to suggest that both fighters parties are negotiating a fight. "I know everyone wants that," Tate replied when asked about a fight with either one of the Paul brothers on a Twitch stream with Adin Ross. "These are sophisticated negotiations that involve a lot of parties so we shouldn't be talking about it on here."
Despite Tate appearing to suggest sophisticated talks could be underway, a spokesperson for Tate told Mirror Fighting last week: “There are currently no productive talks with Jake Paul ’s team regarding a fight between him and Andrew. We are aware that due to the rise in Andrew’s popularity it’s a fight the world wants to see; however, at this moment in time, there is nothing to report.
"We have also become aware that Jake Paul and his team intend to call Andrew out via a collection of YouTube/ Instagram videos; however, as stated before, there has been no official talks regarding a fight." A fight between the pair will likely generate huge interest with Tate having a wide background in combat sports.
Tate claims to have had 87 fights as a kickboxer with his list of wins including former UFC contender Luke Barnatt. He also recently has claimed to have had three fights in MMA with three victories.

Paul's brother Logan has also declared his interest in facing Tate in a boxing match and has already confirmed his plan to return to the ring this December. The siblings are planning to send a message to the star via Logan's Impaulsive podcast this week which could trigger more formal talks.
Tate has previously suggested he has no animosity towards Paul but would be willing to step in the ring to end his fighting career. "I don't dislike him, I understand him but I want to make something clear, I would still kick the living f*** out of Jake Paul," he told The Fellas podcast.
"I'm not some washed-up UFC fighter and I'm not smaller than him, I would beat the living s*** out of him and if he wants to fight I'll fight him any day of the f****ng week. He's just very smart with his 'I'm just a YouTuber angle'."
