(Picture: AP)Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan will stay in a Romanian custody for another 30 days as investigations over alleged sexual abuse continue.
The kickboxer turned far-right influencer was arrested on December 29 on suspicion of being part of an organised crime group, as well as human trafficking and rape.
The Tate brothers, according to prosecutors, used the ‘loverboy’ method of seducing female victims while pretending to want a relationship with them.
Tristan Tate and two women were also arrested but all four deny the allegations. They could now be in custody until February 27. Under Romanian law, they can be held for a maximum for 180 days without being charged.
Both have denied wrongdoing.
Police moved in on his villa on the outskirts of Bucharest at the end of December. It followed a Twitter feud between Andrew Tate and climate activist Greta Thunberg.
Tate posted a video, in which he was seen with pizza boxes from a local takeaway, and rumours circulated this gave away his whereabouts to authorities - although police have denied this is true.
Police have, however, seized cars from the house where Tate has lived since 2017, after leaving the UK.
The 36-year-old self proclaimed misogynist has been a controversial presence online, and has been kicked off platforms previously for alleged hate speech.
Tate also took part in a 2016 version of Big Brother in the UK but was removed after six days when a video emerged of him hitting a woman with a belt.
