From playing at Newcastle's social clubs to working with music legends Noel Gallagher and Pete Doherty, Geordie musician Andrew Cushin can't believe how far he has come in just three years.
The Heaton singer-songwriter, who has signed with the Libertines frontman's Strap Originals Label, is gearing up to release his debut EP, 'You Don't Belong,' on April 22 before embarking on a tour of the UK and Ireland.
And at just 22 years old, Cushin believes his upcoming tour will see him hit another milestone in his career - being 'the youngest Geordie to headline the 02 Academy in Newcastle,' soon to be named the NX.

"To me, it is a personal achievement and a real benchmark," Cushin said.
"It is something really good to say that you have done at the age of 22. It is really special.
"In the space of three years, I have gone from playing at a little social club in Byker to playing the 02 Academy."
The 'Catch Me If You Can' singer will perform at the venue on October 21 but said that tickets are selling so well a second date may be added.
"I am really looking forward to it," he said.
"The response has been great and tickets are selling really well. There's talk of it potentially selling out and doing another night, which at the age of 22, is absolutely mad.
"[My new track] 'Catch Me if You Can' is also flying and doing really well. The EP comes out in two weeks, so it's all coming together."
Cushin's North East roots and honest songwriting have drawn comparisons to Sam Fender and he has already gained huge support in Newcastle with sold-out hometown shows, including gigs at The Boiler Shop and The Cluny. Ahead of the EP release, Cushin is set to play an intimate set at HMV in Newcastle's Eldon Square on April 23, at 12pm as he looks to bring his music to even more Geordies.
This summer also looks set to be another busy one for the singer as he supports Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds when they headline Rock N Roll Circus at Newcastle's Town Moor on June 9. Described as all-new touring concept, the event will feature a mix of live music from performers including The Charlatans, as well as entertainment ranging from a Ferris wheel to tightrope walkers.
Cushin, who has recently finished a tour with The Sherlocks, is also set to perform at Kendal Calling on July 31.
"My family is so proud," he added. "It is going to be a good year."
