Andreas Christensen 'reveals' future plans as Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel 'snubs' PSG left-back

Welcome to our football.london CareFree Chelsea daily news round-up. Maybe not the first, we've definitely done transfer round-ups before, and European round-ups, so I guess in some ways it's not that new at all.

Anyway, we thought we would enter the world of football in a broad and roundabout manner for you and have some fun with some of the stories and captions of the day.

Andreas Christensen's future is still up in the air and he's reportedly narrowed down his options ahead of the summer.

Thomas Tuchel's hunt for a left wing-back has seen him linked with a Paris Saint-Germain star, but the Chelsea boss isn't interested in making a move.

And finally, Barcelona's Ronald Araujo is said to be unsettled at Camp Nou and Chelsea are monitoring the situation.

Christensen says no to Premier League

Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has claimed that Christensen will not move to a Premier League team if he leaves Chelsea at the end of the season.

The Denmark international sees his contract expire in the summer and the two parties are yet to come to an agreement over an extended deal.

Romano tweeted about the situation: “Barcelona and FC Bayern are both strongly interested in signing him - club sources confirm. Chelsea proposal still on the table but there’s no agreement. Nothing has changed. Final decision to be made soon.”

He went on to add: “Also, Premier League clubs approached him as potential free agent signing - but Christensen wants to respect Chelsea, he’s not going to consider any English club proposal.

Our view: It would be a shame to see a player like Christensen leave the club, but if he doesn't sign a new deal I'll be delighted to see him move away from the Premier League.

Of course, Chelsea may have to come up against him in the Champions League but the last thing we need is him strengthening one of our Premier League rivals.

Tuchel not keen on Kurzawa

PSG have reportedly offered Chelsea the chance to sign Layvin Kurzawa.

The left-back could have been a useful signing after the Blues lost Ben Chilwell for the remainder of the season, but Goal report that Tuchel isn't interested in making a move for the France international.

The report states that talks between the player's representatives and the club have taken place, but Tuchel is said to be "less than convinced" the Frenchman can be the answer to Chelsea's problems. Instead, he's looking for a short-term answer to their problems at full-back.

Our view: I'd far rather see Chelsea continue to pursue a deal for Sergino Dest than Kurzawa.

The Barcelona man can cover on either flank and so would provide good competition for both Chilwell and Reece James when the pair are fully fit.

Chelsea eye Araujo

Marca report that Araujo is being tracked by some big Premier League clubs, including Liverpool, Manchester United and Chelsea.

The Uruguay international has only 18 months remaining on his current contract at Barca and the club are said to be finding it tough to get the player to put pen to paper on a new deal.

Our view: Araujo is clearly a talented player but I'd prefer it if Chelsea concentrated their efforts on keeping hold of some of the players already at the club whose contracts are set to expire.

Antonio Rudiger's departure would be an absolute hammer blow for Tuchel and so if we didn't sign anyone this transfer window but secured the future of the Germany international I'd be more than happy.
