Andrea Radrizzani makes Serie A ownership admission amid 'Premier League money' claim

Leeds United owner Andrea Radrizzani has admitted that he's an 'admirer' of Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis' 'financial management' amid a claim he might buy a club in the Serie A 'one day'.

The Italian is reportedly in the midst of selling the Whites to his minority owner partners in the 49ers Enterprise group but the deal isn't likely to go through until the beginning of next year.

However, the 48-year-old has admitted that he's attracted to the prospect of owning a club in the top division in his home country after the sale of Leeds.

"I can’t say it, I may come to Italy one day. I am attracted and scared by Italy at the same time," the Leeds owner admitted in an interview with DAZN. "Whenever I do something in Italy it’s always more complicated. So let’s wait and see.

"The gap [between Premier League and other European leagues] is huge, but to me, we waste too much money [in England]. We pay players too much and we pay too much to sign them.

"I am an admirer of De Laurentiis at Napoli, especially this season. The financial management has been spectacular and he is getting results.

"I think the whole Premier League is a bit lazy. We use the money because there’s a lot but in reality, there is no need to use as much."
