Andre Gomes has joined French side Lille on a season long loan.
The 29-year-old's move was confirmed in the final minutes of the summer transfer window in a deal that followed the arrival of two other central midfielders to the Blues. Gomes had not played for the club in the opening five games of the Premier League campaign and did not appear to be part of Frank Lampard 's plans.
Gomes moved to Goodison Park in the summer of 2019, sealing a permanent switch from Barcelona after a successful loan spell. But his time with Everton was marred by the horrific injury he suffered against Tottenham Hotspur in late 2019.

His last league appearance was in the dramatic comeback victory against Crystal Palace in May, during which he was substituted with the Blues 2-0 down.
Gomes has endured a summer in which Lampard has strengthened his central midfield with the additions of Amadou Onana and deadline day newcomings James Garner and Idrissa Gana Gueye. He follows Jean-Philippe Gbamin, Dele Alli and Niels Nkounkou, who have also left the club on loan deals in recent seasons.
