Minister for Housing Jogi Ramesh has asked officials to speed up the construction of houses taken up under the Pedalandariki Illu scheme of the State government, and ensure that the housing units are allotted to beneficiaries within the stipulated time.
Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is particular that the construction of houses be over soon as it is his aim that all the poor have a house of their own in the State, Mr. Ramesh said.
The Minister, who interacted with officials on Wednesday, suggested them to identify and list the problems in the Jagananna layouts, and chalk out an action plan to address the issues. All infrastructural works like electricity and water supply, roads, and drainages should be readied in order to help beneficiaries complete their houses at the earliest, he said.
Special Chief Secretary Housing Ajay Jain explained to the Minister the status of the construction work going on across the State. Andhra Pradesh State Housing Corporation Managing Director Narayana Bharath Gupta was present.
Andhra Pradesh Housing Corporation Employees Joint Action Committee members felicitated the Minister. JAC chairman D.S. Subrahmanyam and general secretary V. Dasaradha Sarma were present.
