Andhra Pradesh govt revamps police administration

AMARAVATI: The state government revamped police administration before the formation of new districts late on Saturday night.

Vijayawada commissioner Kranti Rana Tata will continue in his role while the government shuffled almost all SPs.

Visakhapatnam city police commissionerate got a new boss when the government posted Ch Srikanth as the CP. The incumbent CP, MK Sinha, has been posted as chairman of State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB). SLPRB chairman, Harish Kumar Gupta, has been shifted as DG Railways.

The government has allowed Deepika Patil (Viziangaram), Siddarth Kaushal (Krishna), Arif Hafeez (Guntur urban), Mallika Garg (Prakasam), Vijaya Rao (Nellore), M Ravindra Babu (Kakinada), Iswarya Rasthogi (East Godavari), Anburajan (Kadapa), Kagnelli Fakeerappa (Anantapur) and Ch Sudheer Kumar Reddy (Kurnool) in existing posts.

The government posted GR Radhika as new SP of Vizianagaram by shifting Amit Bardar to CID.

V Harshavardhan Raju will be moving from Vijayawada to Annamayya district. Railways SP, Rahul Dev Singh, has been appointed as SP, Sri Satya Sai district. K Raghuveera Reddy has been moved from Intelligence to Nandyal as SP.

D Narasimha Kishore will replace Gopinath Jatti as chief vigilance and security officer (CVSO) TTD, Tirumala. Jatti has been posted as DIG in DGP office. Vineeth Brijal was made IG of SEB.
