The Seattle Seahawks did not protect home-field advantage throughout the 2024 season. While Lumen Field is supposed to be a fortress for the Seahawks, they actually compiled a lackluster record of 3-6 at home, including a midseason four-game losing streak. The actual 2025 schedule won’t be released for several more months, but Seattle’s 2025 opponents are already known. Let’s analyze each opponent they’ll play at home.
Arizona Cardinals
The Seahawks swept the regular-season series with the Cardinals in 2024, beating them twice in short succession. It’s worth noting the rebuilding Cardinals showcased legitimate growth this season. They could be a tougher opponent in 2025.
Los Angeles Rams
The Los Angeles Rams captured the NFC West division title this campaign, so they’ll be the squad Seattle’s gunning for in 2025. A meaningless victory over the Rams in Week 18 did little for morale. Sean McVay’s Hollywood-based club sits atop the division.
San Francisco 49ers
Seattle lost to the San Francisco 49ers at Lumen Field in 2024, but exacted revenge by defeating them on the road. Kyle Shanahan’s club endured an incredibly disappointing season. They’ll attempt to reload ahead of 2025, which will arrive with expectations.
Houston Texans
CJ Stroud and the Houston Texans are the AFC South champions. This offseason, they’ll need to focus on improving an offensive line that allows its quarterback to be under constant pressure. Sounds familiar.
Indianapolis Colts
The Indianapolis Colts are retaining general manager Chris Ballard and head coach Shane Steichen despite another disappointing season. Young quarterback Anthony Richardson will be entering a make-or-break year in 2025. The Colts will be under immense pressure to perform.
New Orleans Saints
The New Orleans Saints are a difficult franchise to figure out. They’re currently undergoing the process of appointing a new head coach, with Detroit Lions defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn being a front runner. Will Derek Carr and an expensive squad return, or will this be a younger, rebuilding roster?
Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The Tampa Bay Buccaneers are the high-flying winners of the NFC South. Journeyman quarterback Baker Mayfield enjoyed an MVP-like season under offensive coordinator Liam Coen. Will Coen return, or is he going to receive a head coaching gig elsewhere?
Minnesota Vikings
The 14-3 Minnesota Vikings defeated the Seahawks 27-24 at Lumen Field in Week 16. That was arguably Seattle’s most impressive losing effort this season. The Vikings will return to Seattle for a second consecutive season.
