Get ready to grab the popcorn because Alderley Park in Cheshire is gearing up to bring back its hugely popular outdoor cinema screenings later this summer. Held in the beautiful park grounds, Cinema under the Stars will return with a special, one-off screening of Back to The Future on Saturday, September 3.
Film fans can expect to travel back in time as they follow the adventures of Marty McFly as they enjoy the iconic sci-fi comedy projected onto a huge 20ft outdoor screen - with state-of-the-art HD projection and cinema sound - under the stars. Last summer, people basked in the warm weather and celebrated the end of the holidays in style by watching films like Mama Mia and Jurassic Park, which were shown over the course of the August Bank Holiday weekend.
Sam Darby, Head of Development at Bruntwood SciTech said: “We are delighted that Cinema Under the Stars is returning to Alderley Park. It’s the perfect opportunity to bring our customers, residents, and the wider Cheshire community together to enjoy one of the most beloved films of all time in the beautiful surroundings of the Park."
While those who attend are welcome to bring their own blankets and chairs, there is also an option to purchase a premium ticket, which includes a deck chair. As expected, warmer layers are also advised for when the temperature drops.
Food and drink will be available to purchase on the night but guests are also welcome to bring their own refreshments. Situated in more than 400 acres, Bruntwood SciTech’s Alderley Park is home to a world leading science and technology campus, as well as a gym, outdoor sports pitches and scenic woodland with walking, running and cycling routes.
Tickets are £12 per adult and £8 for concessions. Cinema tickets plus deckchair are £16. Doors open from 6.30pm for food and drink and the film will begin at 8:15pm.
