H&M Home is one of my go-to stores for affordable decor with plenty of personality. Their seasonal sales are hotly anticipated, and their winter offerings didn't disappoint. Right now, you can save up to 60% on cozy throws, stylish serveware, and decorative objects to tie the room together.
With so much listed for so little, it's easy to feel overwhelmed by the scale of the sale. It can be hard to tell the difference between a good deal and a low price on a poor product. That's where I come in. As a shopping writer, I love a good bargain, but I'd never compromise quality for cost. My favorite finds from the H&M Home sale
I love the look of the blush pink and pale yellow brushstrokes against the glass. It's such a subtle way to elevate an ordinary vase, along with the elegance of the flared rim.
I'm always looking to bring a little personality to my place settings. I've added two of these four-piece napkin ring sets to my cart. The detailing is impressive, and the icons are adorable: a cluster of tomatoes, two peas in a pod, a pretty plump lemon and a red radish.
The best rugs are hard-wearing to withstand the frequent footfall in high-traffic areas of the home. This jute rug can handle dust, dirt, and dander, and the warm beiges and browns could complement any color palette.
If you're looking for something floor-length, then you should prepare to spend several hundred dollars on a mirror. If all you want is a little vanity mirror with chic and simple edgework, then you should shop the selection at H&M Home.
I live in an eighteenth-century apartment block with terrible insulation, so maybe I'm biased, but I think every bed needs a blanket for winter weather. I love the bright berry hue of this Patterned Throw: it would really stand out against white sheets.
An open storage basket is just the thing to house toys, books, blankets, firewood: all that clutter you need to keep close to hand. I like the tight weave of the braided bamboo: nothing's spilling out of this basket.
When to shop at H&M Home
H&M Home runs regular sales throughout the year. If you want to get the deepest discounts in the seasonal sales, plus extra perks and promotions, then you should sign up to be an H&M member. You'll get exclusive deals, $10 off your first order, and points towards your next purchase. Alternatively, you could sign up for the H&M newsletter to save another 15%.
H&M Member Day sales
Member Days offer one-day deals and giveaways for H&M members. There's no set schedule for Member Days, but I've seen them happen in March and October. You could always switch on notifications on H&M's social media to make sure you don't miss a beat. Member Days are all about scaled discounts: 15% off $60, 20% off $100, and so on, to try and encourage you to spend more.
H&M spring sale
This usually starts in mid-March and runs into April. You could score up to 20% off furniture and decor, plus an extra 5% off items in the clearance sale.
H&M Summer sale
This usually starts in mid-June, but the discounts get much deeper in July. I've seen as much as 70% off furniture and decor in the summer sales, and H&M members can often save another 10% or 15% on top.
H&M Fall sale
Out of all the sales H&M offer, I would skip the Fall sale. Usually, you only get 30% off: you'll make a much bigger saving if you wait for the Black Friday deals.
H&M Black Friday sale
This often starts early for members. Last year, H&M ran an Early Black Friday Flash Sale in October, with 30% off site-wide.
H&M Winter sale
Discounts go as deep as 70%, as H&M Home tries to shift old stock to make room for new seasonal items.
