On the other hand, Yamashita, an 11-time winner on the Japanese tour, posted her second consecutive 70 to stay in contention.

Notable performances included Caroline Inglis and Lilia Vu, both at 3 under, along with Jin Young and Hinako Shibuno. Vu particularly stood out with the best round of the day, posting a 68 to stay in the mix.
Yang's impressive display included a stretch of 39 bogey-free holes before a minor setback on the par-4 eighth. However, she quickly recovered with a birdie on the par-3 ninth to regain her lead.
