Amy Nuttall inundated with support after split from husband as she shares defiant post

Amy Nuttall has been flooded with supportive messages on social media after it emerged her marriage to Andrew Buchan was over.

It comes following reports suggesting that her 11-year-long marriage to Broachurch star Andrew came to a dramatic end just days before Christmas.

Andrew, 44, is said to have found love with a co-star he met on the BBC drama Better and has already moved in with actress Leila Farzad.

Reports claim that Amy, 40, has been left devastated by the news but is trying to keep her head together while the new couple appears on screens together on a weekly basis.

However, just days before the news of Andrew's new relationship was made public, the Downton Abbey actress took to Instagram to share a rather cryptic quote.

It read: "I am not impressed by money, social status or job title. I'm impressed by the way someone treats other human beings."

Her upload which has been liked by hundreds of her followers has since been flooded with messages of support, with one fan writing: "Sending you positive thoughts and a hug."

"I don't know you but stay strong. You have a lot of love around you. You'll get through this trust me," added a second.

While a third went on to type: "Terrible I don't know why women want to make other women unhappy and betray them! We know there are cheaters in this world but other women should pick each other up not down!!"

"Kindness is everything," penned another.

Sources claim that those closest to Andrew and Amy have been left stunned by the bombshell news of his decision to pack up and leave.

"For Andrew to walk away from his family was a huge shock to us all – and Amy is heartbroken," said a source.

They went on to tell The Sun that he had "packed his bags", alleging that he had left with his new Better co-star.

"Nobody is quite sure of the exact details, but Andrew has clearly had his head turned pretty dramatically," they continued.

An insider told the publication that those around the former couple believed that they would be together "forever".

Meanwhile, sources close to Amy told the MailOnline that she had been crying "virtually every day" since Andrew shared the heartbreaking news.

The former couple tied the knot on September 8, 2012, close to where they both grew up in Lancashire and often put on a loved-up display on red carpets.
