Amy Huberman recounts hilarious exchange between the Queen and Brian O'Driscoll on RTE's The Late Late Show

Amy Huberman stopped by The Late Late Show this evening to chat about her new book, her memories of her recently deceased father and also to share a hilarious story of an interaction between Huberman, the Queen and her husband former Irish rugby star Brian O'Driscoll.

The 'Finding Joy' star spoke brilliantly about the couple of occasions when she met the Queen. Despite only having some short interactions with each other, the Queen left quite the impression on the multi-talented star.

"On a personal level and I only spoke to her very fleetingly, she had a genuine warmth and sense of humour," Huberman said.

During one such exchange, Queen Elizabeth and her husband Prince Philip couldn't help but poke fun at O'Driscoll over his injury record. O'Driscoll played over 300 times for Leinster and Ireland, suffering countless injuries and apparently broke his nose on over a dozen occasions.

"We had a really funny exchange were Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip asked Brian how broken his nose had gotten."

Huberman revealed that the Queen brought up Mike Tindall, the former rugby player that is married to her granddaughter Zara Phillips, who has a notoriously crooked nose as a result of breaking it no less than eight times. Queen Elizabeth showcased her legendary sense of humour, commenting on how O'Driscoll escaped from rugby with far less damage than Tindall.

The Queen also cheekily asked the former Ireland centre whether the nose injuries had any effect on his personal life.

"They asked him if he had a snoring problem because of it."

"And you're just kind of standing there thinking this is... there was fun in it and just that they went there."
