Amy Hart defends her strict pregnancy rules after she's criticised by mum-shamers

Pregnant Amy Hart explains to fans why she is "doing everything by the book" after she was told that she was being "stupid".

The former Love Island star has been sharing her pregnancy journey with her one million followers on Instagram after she discovered she was expecting her first child with Sam Rason.

The TV beauty has just got back from a booze-free holiday in Ibiza, but decided she had a few things to clear up on social media.

Amy, 30, started by thanking her fans for their kind messages, but also said how some had said she was "so stupid" about being so cautious when it comes to what she eats.

"So the reason that I'm quite chilled at the moment because I know I'm pregnant. I know that I'm having a baby in march. I've seen scans, I've seen them move the baby around, I've seen the heartbeat, I've got the pictures," she explained in her stories.

"The last thing to compute is that thing on the picture isn't being delivered by Amazon, it's in my stomach."

She continued: "I think once the baby starts moving it will click more, it will feel more real. Because at the moment I just feel normal - I just feel a bit sick."

She said how she's been accused by fans of lying about feeling so relaxed about being pregnant.

The Celebs Go Dating star said that she was bleeding last weekend and her partner Sam asked if she was anxious and she said that she wasn't, but she admitted to having an overactive brain.

"I have a very overactive imagination. I have an amazing long term memory, but that's why I have to try and do everything by the book," she said.

"So if anything did happen I know that although it wouldn't have been because I'd done something that you're not supposed to do like once in the space of nine months - that would be all that I would think about and I'd know exactly when I did it and I just wouldn't sleep for months."

"So that's why I have to try and be as by the book as I can," she added.

Amy said that she didn't want her followers to think that she knew everything about pregnancy, she explained that everything she's doing she's been told to do by her own personal nutritionist as part of her bespoke pregnancy care plan.

She also detailed that she has a friend who has been a midwife for 30 years, so often goes to her for advice.

She said that she will also be taking parenting advice from her mum and nan (mirror.co.uk)
