Welsh dancing star Amy Dowden, who is a professional dancer on Strictly Come Dancing, has shared some behind-the-scenes snaps of her own new TV show. The Welsh star will be hosting Amy Dowden's Dare To Dance as well as performing on Strictly Come Dancing.
Amy's show will air on BBC Wales in early 2023. Amy has been sharing behind-the-scenes photos on her Instagram, including one of Amy smiling widely at the camera and holding a clapper board and a selfie with her crew which showed cameras and microphones. She captioned the post: "Still pinching myself to have my own TV series! Fantastic big day filming with the lovely crew today for Dare To Dance!"

Some of Amy's Strictly Come Dancing co-stars commented on the post. Dianne Buswell said: "Go girl" followed by four red love heart emojis.
Former Strictly Come Dancing professional Oti Mabuse, who left the show to move to different ITV shows, including judging on Dancing On Ice, also commented. She said: "Mega proud of you".
Dare To Dance, which is completely separate from Strictly Come Dancing, will see an individual or group perform a dance choreographed by Amy to surprise their family or friends. Amy said: "I’m thrilled to be fronting my own series for BBC Wales. Dance can have such a positive impact on physical and mental health, socialising, and self-confidence so it’ll be a privilege to share my passion with people and help them experience their own special moment on the dancefloor.
"It’s going to be such a joyous and uplifting show and I can’t wait to take people on their own dance journey."
Other Strictly Come Dancing stars who have recently featured on different shows include former professional dancer turned judge Anton Du Beck who joined the ITV Cooking With The Stars lineup.
