Amir Khan shows off £500,000 supercar as Kell Brook issues rematch vow

Former world champion boxer Amir Khan bought himself a new £500,000 supercar after facing Kell Brook in a massive pay-per-view fight last month.

Khan was brutally stopped within six rounds by Brook when the pair met at Manchester's AO Arena, and despite initially appearing to retire after the loss, is preparing to exercise his immediate rematch clause.

It remains to be seen if Boxxer and Sky Sports, who sold a number of PPVs that is reportedly comparable to Anthony Joshua, will opt to put the fight together given the disparity that was evident between Brook and Khan.

But it appears that the Brit is looking to get another shot at his long-time rival, after he enjoys the fruits of his efforts in the form of a brand new Lamborghini Mansory sportscar, which can sell for as much as £500,000.

He showed off the flashy new purchase to his fans in a post with the caption "just bought myself a little gift," with a flame emoji and hashtags referencing the car's model.

It comes after Brook declared that he would be happy to get in the ring again with his old rival and give him "another whooping".

The pair shared a heated rivalry over years that finally came to a head in their Manchester clash, but ultimately it was too late for Khan who looked a shell of his former self against Brook.

“If he wants another whooping, he can have another whooping," Brook told Sky Sports. "It was so one-sided, I don’t know what he can say.

"If he wants that rematch, I’ll dust them gloves off and do it again."

Promoter Ben Shalom, who was the man responsible for finally making the fight happen after a seemingly never-ending series of near-deals, believes that Khan would like to fight again.

But he is not keen on putting together the rematch, given what happened with the decisive finish for Brook and generally poor showing from Khan last month.

"I think the word on the street is true - Amir Khan, he doesn't want to call it a day," Shalom added.

"He has spent a lot of time thinking about the fight the past couple of weeks and he feels like he had 10 weeks to prepare and Kell Brook had six months.

"So he feels hard done by. I don't know whether that fight is even possible, but he does have that rematch clause.

"For me, for Kell Brook it's time to move on, whether it's to retire or to fight one of the other names mentioned.

"I can't see it, but Amir is convinced, we will hear what his reasons are in the next few days and we'll have to take it from there.

"Whatever he (Khan) does, he's had a great career, just for me it probably was the time to hang up the gloves, but he feels very differently."
