Amir Khan plans to speak with the Saudi Minister in charge of entertainment to help Tyson Fury secure a £500million payday to fight Oleksandr Usyk.
Fury, 34, would break his retirement promise for an undisputed heavyweight title clash with Usyk, but is demanding a massive £500million for the fight. Usyk made the first defence of his unified belts last weekend when he outpointed Anthony Joshua in their rematch, with the Ukrainian also insisting he will not fight again unless it's against Fury.
Saudi Arabia are the frontrunners to host the fight, with Fury insisting the nation can afford to meet his substantial demand. Khan said he recently spoke with 'The Gypsy King' and will use his good relationship with the Saudi Government to help the Brit with his negotiations.

"Tyson wants to make that big money," Khan told Sky Sports. "Everyone is running to Saudi Arabia because they want that big cheque. I spoke to Tyson a few days ago and said: 'listen, maybe we can help you get that fight'. I think a bigger fight would be Wembley Stadium with AJ. Even though AJ lost, I still think it is a big fight and people want to watch that fight.
"You know what his answer was: 'I want £500 million'. I was like OK, I will get back to you. I speak to the Saudi Government, I know Turki Al-Sheikh quite well, the guy who makes it happen in Saudi Arabia and I have not sent him that message yet, but I am going to tell him he wants £500 million. That is crazy, isn't it?"
Fury has been criticised for demanding the huge sum to fight Usyk having previously stated he would fight Joshua for free. 'The Gypsy King' admitted that he isn't interested in fighting Usyk and the sole purpose of the fight is money, despite having stated several times during his career that he doesn't fight for money.
Khan predicts Fury's size advantage would be too much for the former cruiseweight king Usyk if the pair do meet in an undisputed clash, adding: "I think Fury has that long-range, he will box him and keep him long so I favour more Fury in that fight," Khan continued. With Usyk becoming a world champion, winning all the world titles, him and Fury, if that fight happens, I give it to Fury."
