Amir Khan mocked for Sir Alex Ferguson ‘Wikipedia post’ after meeting Manchester United legend

Amir Khan was mocked on social media after posting about a meeting with Sir Alex Ferguson. Social media users claimed the Bolton boxer had copied information from the former Manchester Unite d bosses' Wikipedia page and used it in an accompanying tweet.

Khan posted a video of himself chatting with Fergie and sharing a joke. "Lovely to meet Sir Alex Ferguson at Manchester Old Trafford Stadium," Khan tweeted.

"Best known for managing Manchester United from 1986 to 2013. He is widely regarded as one of the greatest football managers of all time @ManUtd."

Twitter users claimed that Khan had posted the information from the United great's Wikipedia page.

One Twitter user said: "Amir copy and pasted from Wikipedia.'

Another said: "Looks like Amir didn’t know who he was so had to Google him."

While another tweeted: "Glad you explained who he is. Would have never known."
