Amir Khan issues Tommy Fury vs Jake Paul prediction after Tyron Woodley moment

Amir Khan has backed Tommy Fury to beat Jake Paul in the ring if their clash is ever rescheduled, following last month's fight collapse.

Fury was due to face off with Paul in Cleveland in December but pulled out of the fight due to a broken rib, with Paul instead having a rematch with Tyron Woodley.

It resulted in Paul's biggest win to date, as he defeated the former UFC star by knockout, and Fury has tried to get the bout rescheduled ever since.

However, the YouTuber-turned-boxer has been reluctant to do so and is instead eyeing bouts against alternative options, stating that Fury has had his chance.

While the current chances of seeing the pair face-off in the ring look slim, Khan believes that, if a fight were to go ahead, it would be Fury who emerges victorious.

“Tyron [Woodley] obviously got caught with a good shot, which can happen in boxing. He is not really a boxer, he is an MMA fighter. You know, as MMA fighter, they don’t really punch hard. It’s more about the takedowns and everything else," he told THATS FACTS .

“Well, I think Tommy would have taken that shot and given a lot more back, or maybe would have hit him with some shot. I mean, look, in boxing, anything can happen, [but I] just feel that Tommy would outpoint him.”

Fury is 7-0 in his fledgling boxing career so far, with four wins by way of knockout, and his most recent triumph came against Anthony Taylor in August.

That bout also marked his first outside of the UK, as he made an appearance on the undercard of Paul's first bout with Woodley.

Meanwhile, Paul has faced criticism for the calibre of opponent he has boxed against with none of them having boxing experience.
