Roadworks worth almost £500,000 are set to benefit drivers in South Ayrshire.
Amey, on behalf of Transport Scotland, are to undertake essential maintenance on the A77 from Ballantrae to Bennane at Lendalfoot.
It's estimated the work will directly aid more than 3,700 motors which use the road each day.
Teams will be on site between 7am-6pm from Monday, October 24 to Friday, October 28, and then Monday, October 31 until Wednesday, November 2 using a convoy system.
The scheme, with a value of £484,895, aims to improve the condition of the carriageway and reduce the need for more extensive maintenance in the future.
There is no planned diversion for the route and access for emergency service vehicles will be maintained.
