American tourist has viewers in stitches with clip of Edinburgh castle apartment

A hilarious clip of TikTok user Devrie Brynn joking that Edinburgh Castle is her apartment has been viewed over 400,000 times.

The American tourist went viral last month with a video of her attempting to hike Arthurs Seat while red in the face.

This time, while strolling through Princes Street Gardens, she explains she is staying in the capital for a month and that some of her followers are interested in where she is staying.

She then points the camera up to the famous fortress on Castle Hill and pretends that the tourist attraction is her accommodation for the month.

She says: "I know since I spontaneously quit my life in the US and moved to Scotland and now have got an apartment for the month a lot of you want to know where I'm living, how I did it, and you can see my apartment from here so I thought I'd show you.

"Thats it. It's kind of like that whole ridge there, it's a little drafty, I think its haunted but there is a lot of room and rent was super cheap" she adds making a joke at the extortionate housing prices in Edinburgh.

Devrie captioned the video: "the ghosts keep work the late shift but i’m a heavy sleeper so it works for us #edinburgh"

Over 50,000 people liked the video with many people joining in with the charade.

Scotslass said: "You need to be from Scotland to get this joke well played."

Joani Cube warned: "It’s a sketchy time to be on that side of the pond."

While Marianne Luskey joked: "I love how people think Edinburgh castle is her apartment ."
