The American Red Cross is currently in search of new shelter accommodations for victims of the Los Angeles wildfires after the Pasadena Convention Center requested the removal of the victims to resume its normal filming schedule this week.
Reports indicate that the convention center is currently providing shelter for around 300 individuals who lost their homes in the Eaton fire. The Red Cross has assured that it will continue to shelter the victims until more permanent housing options are secured.
The Red Cross mentioned that they have a team of shelter transition workers who are actively working to identify any barriers that may hinder shelter residents from moving on to the next phase of their recovery.
The Pasadena Convention Center, known for hosting events like 'America's Got Talent,' is set to hold an upcoming event on Feb. 12, with the NAACP Image Awards scheduled for Feb. 22.

City officials have set a target date of Feb. 8 for transferring the shelter to a new location.
California Governor Gavin Newsom recently visited Washington, D.C., to advocate for additional disaster funding. Following meetings with members of the House and Senate, Newsom met with President Donald Trump at the White House. Both leaders expressed a commitment to working together to aid in the recovery efforts.
After the meeting, Governor Newsom emphasized the importance of streamlining recovery and rebuilding processes to support wildfire survivors. He thanked President Trump for his visit to the impacted communities and for their collaborative efforts in providing resources and assistance to those affected.
