An American who is currently studying medicine in Edinburgh has started a TikTok debate which has since gone viral.
Taking to the social media platform, Scarlett documents her life in the Scottish capital and has several videos about the differences between life and culture in the US and the UK.
Some of her comparisons include putting an 'x' at the end of messages - something she said Americans would find strange.

Other differences also include finding a manual car in the US which she said is "difficult" to come across as well as the UK's "pub culture" which the US also don't have.
But now in a recent video, it's all about adding an extra 's' at the end of shop names when there's not one.
Yes, it's Tesco versus Tescos.
Speaking in her latest video, the TikTok user, @sscarlettka, said: "One thing I've noticed about being in the UK is that people tend to add 's' or possession to the end of brand or store names.
"ForeExample, people will say 'oh I'm going to Tescos' or 'I'm going to Marks and Spencer's' but Marks and Spencer and Tesco don't actually have 's' on the end of them.
"But despite there not being an 's', people add the 's' to the end of it.
"I do that - that's what I hear people do. I was living in the UK for quite a few months before I actually bothered to look at the sign for Marks and Spencer or Tesco and realise that.
"But saying 'Tesco' and 'Marks and Spencer' doesn't sound right. But this isn't done for all stores. I don't think I've heard people add an 's' to the end of Asda."
She concluded: "Yeah I don't know, funny."
The video has since received almost 250k views, 20k likes and over one thousand comments.
The comment section inevitably blew up and people started to debate amongst themselves in the comments.
One user said: "Exceptions: Lidl, The Co-op, Big Tesco."
Another added: "Wait, Marks and Spencer’s doesn’t have an S !? WHAT! You’ve blown my mind."
A third yelled: "IT FEELS NATURAL OKAY" followed by laughing emojis.
"Its my BIGGEST pet peeve when people call it Tescos, WHY are you putting an S on the end??? It doesn't belong there!" a fourth wrote.
