An American man living in Edinburgh has taken to social media baffled by Scottish peoples' dress sense over the last few days.
Edinburgh has enjoyed days of sunshine and it finally feels like spring is upon us and Ed, known as Ed-in-Burgh on TikTok, has been documenting his new life in Scotland.
So far he has been spooked by our house spiders, the 'janitor-like' keys, and baffled by frozen potatoes. Now Ed is getting to grips with our weather and has claimed 'we control it'.

In his latest TikTok video, Ed is walking outside and states that it's mid April and 6C.
"Yet people everywhere seem to be wearing shorts," he exclaimed.
"Now I wouldn't think that it's shorts weather, which gives me the impression that people here don't dress based on the temperatures but on the time of year, as if to will the wear weather into existence."
He went on: "I have been here four months and I know that physics works differently up here, so if that's what we need to do to bring the sun out, then please keep it up!"
And like the magic, the next clip shows the American basking in sunshine. "Damn your druid magic, Scotland", he said.
Over 100 people flocked to the comments to point out that it actually reached 14C on that day - which only means one thing.
One said: "It's not shorts weather. It's taps aff weather."
"It's like dress for the job you want not the job you have but we do it with weather," a second commented.
"Ed mate. This is pretty much summer."
"We dress for the average for the day. 6 degrees in the morning, 14 in the evening, so we dress like it's 10 all day," another interjected.
