An American actress is "begging Hollywood" to cast her as Glasgow's most famous son, Billy Connolly.
Washington-born star Rosa Pasquarella counts TV shows Funnel of Darkness, the Deep End and 2010 Michael Winterbottom flick The Killer Inside Me - featuring Kate Hudson and Casey Affleck - among her big and small screen roles to date.
Now she has appealed to casting execs to give her the role of the Big Yin as she believes she bears a resemblance to the 79-year-old.

Her tweet sparked a few responses, with one writing: "I'd watch that", while another wrote: "I just think it was brave of you to not give up your seat on that bus.".

Emma Grae couldn't believe her eyes when she spotted an ornate-looking building with what she thought bore a striking resemblance to the Big Yin.
