U.S. stocks were higher, with the Dow Jones index gaining more than 150 points on Wednesday.
Shares of America’s Car-Mart, Inc. (NASDAQ:CRMT) rose sharply during Thursday's session after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly sales results.
America’s Car-Mart reported a quarterly loss of 24 cents per share which missed the analyst consensus estimate of a loss of 10 cents per share. The company reported quarterly sales of $347.27 million which beat the analyst consensus estimate of $344.37 million.
America’s Car-Mart shares jumped 19.7% to $54.70 on Thursday.

- Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. (NYSE:SEI) gained 19% to $28.76 as the company announced fourth quarter financial and operational update and power solutions growth capital developments.
- Capricor Therapeutics, Inc. (NASDAQ:CAPR) rose 18.7% to $15.10.
- SoundHound AI, Inc. (NASDAQ:SOUN) gained 17.3% to $11.91. The stock gained nearly 100% over the past month, driven by developments in its technology deployment, increased market enthusiasm for conversational AI and improved financial performance.
- Archer Aviation Inc. (NYSE:ACHR) rose 14.3% to $7.95.
- Hut 8 Corp. (NASDAQ:HUT) gained 14% to $30.85. Hut 8 recently announced it entered into an equity offering sales agreement to sell up to $500 million worth of stock and launched a $250 million repurchase program.
- Five Below, Inc. (NASDAQ:FIVE) rose 13% to $118.51 after the company reported better-than-expected quarterly financial results and issued FY24 guidance above estimates. Also, Telsey Advisory Group and Morgan Stanley raised their respective price targets on the stock.
- American Airlines Group Inc. (NASDAQ:AAL) gained 10.1% to $16.39 after the company issued fourth-quarter adjusted EPS guidance above estimates.
- Brown-Forman Corporation (NYSE:BF) gained 8.8% to $44.60 after the company reported better-than-expected second-quarter financial results and lowered its Capex expenditure guidance.
- Rivian Automotive, Inc. (NASDAQ:RIVN) surged 5.2% to $12.59.
- ZIM Integrated Shipping Services Ltd. (NYSE:ZIM) gained 5% to $20.53.
