Ambulance service car damaged during 'incident' near Forestside in Belfast

An ambulance service car was damaged in an "incident" in Belfast.

The Northern Ireland Ambulance service received a 999 call at 9.07pm on Wednesday April 5, relating to a crash in the Upper Galwally area of Belfast near Forestside Shopping Centre.

One Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) crew was dispatched to the scene, alongside one officer.

Images from the scene appear to show a damaged NIAS car.

Nobody was taken from the scene.

A spokesperson for the NIAS said: "The Northern Ireland Ambulance Service received a 999 call at 21.07 on Tuesday, 05 April 2022 following reports of an incident in the Upper Galwally area, Belfast

"NIAS despatched one HART crew and one Officer to the incident.

"No one was taken from scene."
