Amber Heard has been spotted enjoying some quality time with her young daughter in Spain.
The Aquaman actress, 36, has seemingly taken a step back from the spotlight over recent months, posting only one update to social media since a jury ruled heavily in her ex-husband's Johnny Depp 's favour in June following the former couple's high-profile defamation trial in Fairfax County, Virginia.
Spotted in Palma de Mallorca, Spain with her one-year-old daughter Oonagh Paige, Amber looked every inch the doting mother as she carried her young child in her arms and engaged in conversation with a local sitting on a bench - pulling silly faces to amuse her baby girl at one point in the pictures obtained by MailOnline.
The mum-of-one wore a casual ensemble for the outing - white linen trousers and a black crop top showing off her toned abs - and according to Spanish press, is 'normal on the street and doesn't hide at any time' when out and about in the area and goes about her day unbothered.
"I've had her next to me a couple of times, but I didn't know who she was until I was told," a local resident recently told El Pais, a Spanish-language daily newspaper
"She's very normal on the street and doesn't hide at any time," she continued, with another local adding: "She leads a very normal village life, as if she were a native."
Amber's daughter was born via surrogate on April 8, 2021. Amber shared the news of her daughter Oonagh's birth through a July 2021 post on Instagram, beginning by saying: "I’m so excited to share this news with you. Four years ago, I decided I wanted to have a child."
In her announcement post, Amber explained how she has taken an independent route to motherhood and did not offer any details about her child's father. The actress has never publicly revealed the father of her daughter and has previously referred to herself as both 'mom and dad' in Instagram posts featuring her baby girl.
Amber mentioned Oonagh when giving testimony during the defamation trial brought against her by ex-husband Johnny earlier this year, telling the court: "I want to move on with my life. I have a baby. I have to move on. I want to move on, and I want Johnny to move on too."
The sighting of Amber comes as it's reported the star has changed her legal team following a jury ruling heavily in favour of her former husband Johnny on June 1, after the Pirates of the Caribbean actor sued Amber over statements she made in a Washington Post op-ed.
The actor successfully sued his ex-wife over the newspaper article titled: "I spoke up against sexual violence — and faced our culture’s wrath. That has to change."
Although the op-ed did not directly name the actor, Johnny's lawyers successfully argued in court that the article defamed him and impacted his career, thanks to the implied allegations he had abused his ex-wife throughout their marriage - something the actor has always strongly denied.
The Depp-Heard trial took place in Fairfax County, Virginia from April 11, 2022, to June 1, 2022 and due to the fact it was televised, attracted a huge amount of attention across social media and in the press.
In their verdict, the jury found that all three statements from Amber's Washington Post op-ed were false, defamed her ex-husband, and made with actual malice, so the jury awarded Johnny $10 million in compensatory damages and $5 million in punitive damages from his ex-wife.
For Amber's counter-suit, the jury found that Johnny's former lawyer second statement to the Daily Mail regarding a sexual abuse hoax was false, defamatory and made with actual malice.
As a result, Amber was awarded $2 million in compensatory damages and zero in punitive damages from her ex-husband.
