Amber Gill was all smiles as she attended the British Diversity Awards at London’s Grosvenor House with footballer girlfriend Jen Beattie on Wednesday night.
The Love Island star, 25, looked stylish in a black satin mini dress and silver heels while Beattie, 31, cut a smart figure wearing a black blazer and trousers.
Their appearance on the red carpet comes days after Gill revealed that she has been accused of faking her relationship with the Arsenal defender.
The couple first sparked dating rumours in December and went ‘Instagram official’ in February when they shared photos of their sweet Valentine’s Day date at London’s Nobu Hotel in Portman Square.
Since going public with their relationship, the reality TV star said that her family and friends have been so accepting, but she’s faced accusations of faking their relationship on social media.
She told The Mirror: “I’m so happy. Everybody was really like: ‘We watched you date a man.’ I was 21. It’s been four years!
“I think England is progressive in ways because for all my friends and family it was a non-thing. I didn’t ‘come out’. I was fine. A couple of people saying I’m a fake? I can deal with that.”
Last week, the couple made their red carpet debut at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekend launch party at The Londoner Hotel.
The couple were first linked in December after being spotted enjoying a date at Winter Wonderland, but didn’t go social media official until earlier this month.
Taking to TikTok on March 3, Beattie shared a video of Gill rearranging the cupboards, which she captioned: “When your better half has other ideas for your day off.”
To which she replied teasingly: “Better half????”
After that, Gill went to support Beattie when her team won the FA Women’s Continental Tyres League Cup Final.
It was a big moment for the defender as Arsenal won 3-1 over rivals Chelsea – their first trophy in four years.
Gill originally shot to fame when she won the fifth series of Love Island with Greg O’Shea back in 2019 and she swiftly landed a £1 million fashion collaboration with MissPap.
However, despite her good fortune professionally, the relationship with O’Shea only lasted five short weeks before he reportedly dumped her by text.
He denied this at the time and claimed: “I couldn’t give her what she wants and needs so I just had to say, ‘I can’t keep doing this. It’s not fair on you.’”
After that, Gill shocked fans when she announced on social media that she had sworn off men. She declared that “switching teams” was the best decision she has ever made and insisted she could not “go through it again” with a man.
