Amber Gill avoids Late Late Show as Greg O'Shea confirms they've split up

Amber Gill failed to show for her appearance on the Late Late Show after splitting from rugby player Greg O'Shea.

Newly single Greg walked out to ‘Love is in the Air’ by John Paul Young.

Ryan Tubridy was quick to grill Greg about the split, who said:“Don’t believe everything you read.”

Greg said: “Me and Amber have been chatting the last few days and the whole thing about  [breaking up] over text isn’t true.

“But we need to be realistic about the situation, and the fact she’s in the UK.

“We’re both so busy and we need to take these opportunities and protecting our careers.

“She has every brand wanting to work with her, and I’m trying to make the team for the Olympics with the Ireland sevens.

“It was over a long time, it wasn’t just one text.

“I’m mad about her, and I hope she’s mad about me too. Who knows what the future holds?”

Meanwhile, Geordie beauty Amber stayed in the UK and had a "girls' night in" with close pals Anna Vakili and Yewande Biala who she met on Love Island.

Anna shared a photo of their food to Instagram, tagging Amber in the caption.

And Maura Higgins also caused a stir as she rocked up to the set in a mustard trouser suit.

The Longford native admitted she was "cringing" after Ryan Tubridy played clips from her time on Love Island.

And she revealed TV bosses had been hunting her for several years but she had declined as she'd been in relationships.

Maura also admitted she was “quite tipsy” before her first Love Island interview.

She told Tubs: “Oh I’d actually had a few drinks before going for the interview, I was quite tipsy.

“But I remember during it I had them cracking up in the interview.”

Maura also reflected on her outburst at Tom Walker after he joked about her being "all mouth or not."

The brunette beauty was quick to call him out on his "d**khead comment" and refused to go into the Hideaway with him.

She told Ryan Tubridy: "It's 2019, if a woman wants to talk about sex, it doesn't mean you're going to jump on someone."

Maura revealed she was shocked by the positive reaction she got for her outburst at Tom.

When it came to the subject of her relationship with Curtis, Maura said it was "going the right direction" but that they hadn't "put a label" on it.
