THE organisation hoping to have the United Nations “decolonise” Scotland are seeking “ambassadors” to join them at the organisation’s headquarters.
Liberation Scotland is calling on supporters to travel to New York City as they hope to have the UN Special Committee on decolonisation hear their case.
They are looking for 100 “ambassadors” to join them stateside from June 12-18 to “raise awareness about Scotland’s case whilst the committee is in session”.
The group added: “We aim to team up with US Scots to build the movement and assist the official delegation where and as necessary.”
The group has appealed to the UN committee, also known as C24, and are being supported by Geneva-based lawyers with Justice pour Tous Internationale.
Last month, Liberation Scotland announced it had handed over papers to the committee asking to be recognised as the country’s “peaceful liberation movement”.
