Retailer Amazon has updated customers after it struck a global deal over Visa payment fees.
The company negotiated a deal with Visa that allows customers to continue using credit cards when purchasing after previously warning customers the card company’s fees were too high.
The website previously said it has made the decision due to “the high fees Visa charges for processing credit card transactions”.
It has now explained to customers how to add or update a payment method after the U-turn.
In an email to customers, Amazon said: "We’ve recently reached a global agreement with Visa that allows all customers to continue using their Visa credit cards in our stores.
"As a result, we will not move forward with our previous plans to stop accepting UK issued Visa credit cards. To add or update a payment method, go directly to Your account or visit the help page on Add & Manage Payment Methods.
"We remain committed to offering customers a payment experience that is convenient and offers choice. Thank you for being an Amazon customer."
