Amazon Prime Day is here and there are huge savings to be had, starting with a Dyson Airwrap alternative which would save you a whopping €490.06. Lasting from Tuesday, July 11 to Wednesday, July 12, the 24 hour-long of sale sees big brands slash their prices on thousands of products across various departments on Amazon.
One of the major deals to catch the eye of Prime Members is the BaByliss Hydro-Fusion 4-in-1 Hair Dryer Brush, now reduced to €59.93 from €95.90. Seen as a 'dupe' by some customers for the much more expensive Dyson Airwrap - which retails for €549.99 - BaByliss' offering has attracted glowing feedback from happy customers, as reported by Birmingham Live.
In a detailed review, Claire on Amazon wrote: "I have tried a dyson air wrap previously and liked the gentle lower power but couldn't use the air wrap attachments as my hair is a shortish length so sent it back. I ordered this (BaByliss) hairdryer brush due to the smoothing technology. My hair is very thick and strong with some frizz.
"I dried hair to 80% and then styled with the paddle brush attachment which did a fab job of smoothing. I usually dry and then straighten but this was just with using the hairdryer brush only and only took 10 mins baring in mind that my hair is very thick."
She added that she is very happy with her purchase, which was "£300 cheaper than a dyson air wrap styler!!" at the time. The deal is even cheaper now, with those looking for styling brush able to save £430 when compared to the Dyson Airwrap, which can retail for up to £781 premium models.
Another shopper, Jen Fen, wrote: "This is nice and lightweight, love the brushes as leaves hair lovely and smooth. Nice long lead with swivel so doesn't get tangled when drying. Not as powerful as my previous dryer but it only takes 5 minutes more to dry my hair so not a big problem. All in all a nice dryer for the money."
Curious Magpie added: "I have to say that I’m really impressed with this hairdryer / hot air styler." Brie put: "This is an excellent hair dryer. It has a variety of attachments, and works really well. Solidly built, excellent quality. Definitely value for money."
However, one customer didn't seem too impressed: "This product does the job sort of, but not the best." Anya claimed: "Not suitable for short fine hair."
The BaByliss Hydro-Fusion 4-in-1 drying brush comes with four interchangeable heads for "quick, smooth and frizz-free styling as you dry". The large ceramic oval brush head can add "volume and shape", while the straightening brush provides "sleek and straight styles". The soft smoothing brush also can create "soft looks" and its blow dry nozzle aids with drying.
Amazon Prime Day deals are exclusively for members of Prime, which is €10.55 per month or €111.45 a year. For students, it's €5.27 per month or €55.71 a year.
Alternatively, you can sign up to a 30 day free Prime trial which would give you access to the cut price deals. Before the trial expires, you can either cancel it, or continue it by paying.
The event first began on July 15, 2015, as a way to celebrate Prime members on Amazon's 20th birthday. In the years since, it has become one of the biggest days in the online shopping calendar.
