Amazon's Fire TV slashed from £430 to £120 in 'biggest deal' for 2023 sale

Amazon has today launched a major discount on its new 43-inch Fire-TV set.

Day two of Prime Day is underway and the retail giant has kicked it off by reducing the 43-inch 4K UHD Fire TV set by a whopping £310. Previously £429.99, the website slashed the Fire TV 4 series for just £119.99, which has since sold out.

The major bargain was listed as one of the retailer's lightening deals, so the discount is no longer available, reports Manchester Evening News. Luckily, there are plenty of other Fire TVs on sale, like the Fire TV 50-inch 4-series 4K UHD smart TV, now £299.99 from £499.99, or the 55 inch version for £349.99.

A middle of the range version of the series, the 43 inch TV is still available to buy at its original retail price of £429.99. The set comes with comes with 4K Ultra HD, HDR 10, HLG and Dolby Digital Plus and an Alexa voice remote that lets you find your favourite apps, shows, movies and more by simply asking it. It also gives users access to the major streaming services including Netflix, Prime Video and Disney+.

Unlike the range-topping Omni Series of Fire TVs it does not offer hands free use of Alexa and two way video calling, but its £119.99 price could make it the biggest bargain in the Prime Day sale in 2023. The deal makes it the cheapest Fire TV in the range including the entry-level 2 Series models and is sure to make smart TV rivals such as Samsung sit up and take notice.

We are willing to say that TV deal could be the best Amazon Prime Day discount this year. Yesterday Amazon cut the price of the 40-inch 2 Series to just £199.99 but that deal has been blown away by the more advanced version of the set.

Amazon Prime Day is set to end at midnight on Tuesday, July 12. The two-day sales event is the second biggest of its kind of the year after Black Friday, which takes place in November.

Amazon has cut the price of tens of thousands of items for Prime Day, while rival retailers including Currys, John Lewis, Boots and more have launched their own summer sales to compete with Amazon's discounts.
