Amazon's best-selling TV slashed by €117 in flash Prime Day deal

Amazon fans are ditching their Fire TV Sticks after the brand slashed the price of a more high-tech alternative to an 'unbelievable price'. The Amazon Fire TV has been hailed 'as light as a feather', and has impressed Prime users with its 'fantastic' picture quality and ease of use.

Amazon's Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series 720p HD smart TV usually costs €293 (£249.99). However, it has been slashed by €117 (£100) down to a more budget-friendly price of £149.99 in Amazon's Prime Day Early Access Deal.

Instead of sticking a Fire Stick into the rear of a TV, the Fire TV comes with an integrated pin-sharp display, which takes away any of the effort or faffing around. Amazon launched three different models back in March - including the top-end Omni range along with the mid-range 4-Series and cheaper 2-Series, the Manchester Evening News reports.

For €175.00 (£149.99) you get a standard 720p 32-inch screen, Dolby Digital Audio and support for the stunning HDR 10 format. There's also instant access to Amazon's Alexa voice assistant which lets you find content, pause TV and more using just your voice.

Along with premium apps, the Fire TV range also includes plenty of free content from platforms such as YouTube, Freevee and Pluto TV which means you can watch plenty of shows without paying anything extra.

The heavily discounted Amazon Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series 720p HD smart TV has an average rating of 4.3 stars out of five on the brand's website. Shoppers have been impressed by how easy it is to set up, while others have been blown away by the variety of TV shows and apps which come with the TV.

One five-star reviewer said of the Amazon Fire TV 32-inch 2-Series 720p HD smart TV: "From switching on the set, to sitting down to watch with all my apps loaded: less than 20 minutes, though others will probably be able to do this a lot quicker. The trickiest part was finding the right screwdriver for the leg screws. I wrestled with a too small a Phillips before finding the right size of flathead and had the legs secured in no time. Great picture, easy to use menu and remote.

A second wrote: "Works well, light as a feather." "Set up for the bedroom cracking picture well happy as usual with amazon products easy to set up," penned a third Amazon Prime user.

Somebody else said: "I bought the 32ins for the bedroom, it’s a perfect size not too intrusive. Fantastic picture, easy setup and a great price. Well pleased."

Another added: "Bought this to replace an old TV we had, that was using a fire stick. The TV was a good price and the picture quality is brilliant. No regrets and would buy again."

If a 32-inch screen sounds a bit small, you'll find the 40-inch version reduced from €351.21 (£299.99) to just €233.75 (£199.99). And if you want a more pin-sharp experience, Amazon has also just cut the price of the 4-Series options as well. That means you'll get these 4K TVs for as low as €351.21 (£299.99) - a 40% saving off the usual price.
