Amazon rival launches first early Shark vacuum cleaner Black Friday deal

The first Shark vacuum deals of Black Friday season are live as Amazon and rival retailers cut the price of a Dyson competitor.

Shark has established itself as the biggest challenger to Dyson in the premium vacuum cleaner market and the brand is often one of the headline sales when Amazon launches its Black Friday sale. The shopping event takes place on November 25 this year but the first Shark vacuum deals have signalled an early start to the price wars.

AO has cut the price of a Shark vacuum cleaner from £299 to £179, a saving of £120, after it launched its own Black Friday sale early.

The price matches that of Amazon, which itself has launched early Black Friday deals on the upright vacuum cleaner from the beginning of November. The price of an anti-hair wrap Shark vacuum model is now £199 in the sale, which again matches the Amazon discount of £150 for the model.

However, the discounts on the vacuum cleaner are unlikely to be the best price as Amazon is likely to save its cheapest prices and biggest discounts for the week of Black Friday at the end of the month.

AO has cut the price of the Shark vacuum alongside a host of other early Black Friday deals. Other discounts include £79 off Nespresso coffee machines, a third off American-style fridge freezers and discounts on television sets in time for the football World Cup. You can see the full AO sale here.
